Finspång Municipality is now looking for an engaged and responsible preparedness coordinator who wants to contribute to strengthening our crisis preparedness, security, and total defense capability.

You will be part of our strategic safety and security work and will play a key role in developing routines, processes, and plans to manage societal disturbances and crises.

What can we offer you?

As a preparedness coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving the organization's work in crisis preparedness, continuity planning, and total defense. You will work both operationally and strategically to support the municipality's operations, analyze risks, and ensure that the organization has a good ability to handle everything from everyday events to extraordinary incidents.

The role is organizationally placed in the community building sector, directly under the municipality's director of community building and security. You will be part of the management group of the community building sector.

Your future tasks

This is a broad role with a mix of operational and strategic tasks. The role includes, among other things:

• Coordinate, develop, and implement the municipality's crisis preparedness and total defense work
• Drive the work with risk and vulnerability analyses (RSA)
• Support the operations in continuity planning and incident management
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate exercises and training
• Collaborate internally and externally with, for example, municipalities, rescue services, county administrative boards, and authorities

Who are you?

You have a degree from a relevant higher education program, or experience and knowledge that the employer considers equivalent.

You are a person who thrives in a role where you can combine analysis and structure with collaboration and communication. You easily build trust and relationships, and you are motivated to work to strengthen society's and the organization's ability to handle crises and disturbances.

As a person, you are confident, curious, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to see both the big picture and the details, and you work methodically even when the pace is high or when situations change quickly. You take responsibility, drive processes forward, and have a good pedagogical ability that allows you to educate, clarify, and explain complex contexts in an understandable way.

The position of preparedness coordinator is security classified, which means that employment requires an approved security screening including security references, security screening interview, and background check. Swedish citizenship is a prerequisite for employment.
